Our ginger cat has such a cheeky personality, he's the most loving cat out of our three. When it's raining, he won't go out in it, but cause its raining he decides to trash the house.
He gets up on surfaces and smacks things off, then looks down at them, then up at me with a look of "what you gunna do about it?" on his face.

He also has a special reserved meow, it's the loudest meow I've ever heard, it sounds like meoooowooooowoooow and he only uses it either a) first thing in the morning, at about 6am, he sits on the landing and meows so loud till someone gets up or b) when he sees you outside, he does it to get your attention, then when he's got it he tries to trott along next to you and follow where your going, which means we have to pick him up and walk him home, I actually thinks he likes this a lot, like his personal taxi Grin

Aw he sounds fab!SmileCats are brilliant.

Ours like jumping on the trampolineGrin Also one of ours sounds like Charlie the cat in those old public information films (I was interested to learn that that was actually Kenny Everett)

Fluffycloudland77 · 15/05/2012 21:31

Ours gets up on the TV if we keep him in and he wants to go out and steps on the off button.

TheFlyingFishFinger · 15/05/2012 21:58

Hahaha I'd love to see the trampoline cat! That would be a smash on YouTube!

Fluffy loud, it's amazing what they can do when they want attention isn't it Grin

If I go into the kitchen and shout at him for scrounging food off the worktops he puffs himself up and looks all cute and loving "oh moms here, I lurve you mommy". If DH goes in and shouts at him he cowers in such a way to suggest that he is beaten to within an inch of his life on a regular basis.

DH feels so bad the cat gets consoled.

Cat has never been beaten to within an inch of his life.

Yes, it is surpising what they pick up.

TheFlyingFishFinger · 15/05/2012 22:10

Haha! Mine does the cute "omg I love you soooooo much" face when he gets busted on the kitchen work top as well.

It's psychology isnt it? even the cat knows dad is softer than mom.

qazxc · 15/05/2012 23:14

My cat will limp if told off. she also barks at birds.

sashh · 16/05/2012 05:25

Mine sits on my heady and 'paddy paddy' on my ear if she wants me to wake up. Good job she is small.

Yesterday I had new gas and electricity meters put in so she had a good look around the fitter's van.

She will also get into the wardrobe and sit on the clothes which are hung up if I don't keep it locked.

Charlie (bamed after the one in the advert and inferited froma neighbour) would have entire conversations with you. He also followed me to the pub once and could sulk for Britian. He sulked by standing in front of you with his back turned. A friend picked him up during one of his sulks and turned him to face me, so he turned his head away, so my friend turned his head to face me and he averted his eyes! I was on the floor in hysterics which made him sulk even more.

ripsishere · 16/05/2012 10:40

My two just fall off things. They are the least nimble cats in Cheshire I think.
Currently, ginge is loving the table football thing I got yesterday. It's got a glass top and he was desperately trying to get the balls.
DD was not impressed

qazxc · 17/05/2012 19:20

my gran's cat used to love watching snooker. when a ball got potted, Timmy would go round the back of the telly looking for it and then complain couldn't find it

sashh · 18/05/2012 06:11

qazxc

LOL

Arana · 18/05/2012 06:19

This is two of my cats before we had to move aborad and rehome them :(

DroughtMyArse · 18/05/2012 06:32

Sassh - be careful letting your cat get into cars. My mum and dad lost a cat that got in a delivery van. They rang the company but it had disappeared out of the van along the way Sad

My very old cat (who should know better) will sit on his hind legs at the glass back door and bicycle his front two paws against the glass to be let in rather than walking round the side of the house and coming in the cat flap. We frequently have stand offs about this at meal times and I find myself bragging to dh if I win Blush

gazzalw · 18/05/2012 06:36

iur very well bred (Tonkinese) cat is really chatty. When she feels it's time to change her litter tray she comes in sits square to you and fixed you with her beautiful eyes and does a plaintive (but with telling off undercurrents) 'miaow' (only she sounds more like a bleating lamb than a cat).

She also chivvies DD to bed - every evening at about 6.45 pm she comes downstairs to rally DD and DW to bedtime stories. Then she settles on DW's chest whilst she's reading. She doesnt't do it for me!

Fluffycloudland77 · 18/05/2012 10:57

Arana, that's the problem with tails isnt it? they are always just a little bit out of reach.

Very pretty cats you must have been heartbroken to let them go.

holmesgirl · 18/05/2012 13:19

My cat sits in front of the mirror looking at herself for ages LOL.

holmesgirl · 18/05/2012 13:19

@ qazxc :o

TheFlyingFishFinger · 18/05/2012 14:58

Hahaha that video is brilliant! I love the way the other cat is looking over the edge of the bath at the other one like "WTAF?!"

OP posts:
TheFlyingFishFinger · 18/05/2012 15:00

Holmesgirl - my cat does that as well! She even looks away slowly then back at the mirror really fast, im sure she's trying to catch 'the other cat' out lol

BBisTitanium · 18/05/2012 17:30

My beastly boy, is a mischievious scamp! He has started to become obsessed woth the bath.. Gets in after use leaves muddy prints all over... Has no depth perception it would seem though... Jumped in it full the other night, distinctly unimpressed cat haha!

He also takes DS to bed every night, and when stories are done, paws him on the chest until he lays down Grin then miows and leaves! Very adorable pairing!

Lizcat · 18/05/2012 18:02

The posh arrogant boy likes to lie on the counter tops really near the edge rolling around on his back when he falls off he then picks himself up dusts himself and pretends like he meant to do that.

BibiBlocksberg · 18/05/2012 22:40

They really are far more intelligent than (some) people give them credit for :)

Loving all of these especially the bedtime supervisors - just brilliant.

My two have me laughing on a daily basis, best not start or I'll end up flooding this thread :)

TheFlyingFishFinger · 18/05/2012 23:01

We've not seen our ginger cat all day, been calling him at the door when we've been home, he normally comes home at 5 like clockwork. Couldn't see him anywhere. Found him half an hour ago in a small box, I don't even know how he fitted in it Grin

I've put a pic on my profile.

OP posts:
BibiBlocksberg · 18/05/2012 23:14

My heart was in my mouth then TheFlyingFishFinger dreading the post ending with your cat being lost.

Phew :)

Boxes, just what is it about card board boxes especially those entirely too small for (in my case) enormous cat?

If someone could make a cat carrier that looked and smelled like a cardboard box enough to fool a cat (but normal sturdy carrier underneath) they'd make a fortune.

TheFlyingFishFinger · 18/05/2012 23:17

They sell these Bibi Grin

My cats bloody adore boxes, and carrier bags! They can't wait for you to unpack the shopping so they can get in one! Have to watch our black cat though cause he puts his head through the handle bits and runs about wearing it like a cape lol
