My cats are too stupid. They would climb up, get stuck and miaow piteously until I fetched a stepladder...

SimplyTes · 09/05/2012 17:37

Yes - will be collecting my two bengal kittens asap and they love to climb, have a mate buying Ikea floating shelves which will be going up asap.

Met kittens at weekend - so bloody beautiful!

SummerRain · 09/05/2012 17:44

none of my three are much good at climbing.... they have yet to discover the kitchen cupboards and the youngest is 3 Hmm

Although one of them does give me heart failure every now and again by curling up on dd's top shelf...... I always fail to notice and chuck clothes in on top of her and then scream like a little girl when they come flying back at me with accompanying ball of angry black fur.

So much dusting, though, all those shelves. .

MNP · 09/05/2012 18:07

Greek cat stretches and falls off things so think I'll pass :o

GinPalace · 09/05/2012 19:44

If I was a cat I would love this! Perhaps not for the less agile cat maybe better for the one in the kitty food ad which shows the free running champ cat Grin

Mine would have loved it when they were younger, now they are mioddle aged, they prefer sofas, armchairs and anything that smells of me and DH, so the laundry basket. Clean clothes or dirty, they aren't bothered.

DontCallMeBaby · 09/05/2012 21:20

Oh, they'd love that - and within a day, one of them would perch on the shelf over the dining table, have a good old scratch, and treat us to a gentle shower of cat floof in our tea. Lovely.

GinPalace · 09/05/2012 21:28

haha - yes, think this set up is only appealing if you can afford the daily cleaner to go with it - though if you can afford to customise your house for your cat you can probably afford that too! Grin

Mine would have loved it when she was a young 'un. Now she can only fine the effort to jump in the boiler cupboard and stay there

whomovedmychocolate · 09/05/2012 21:38

Simplytes, I have a bengal - get some earplugs Wink

My cat would enjoy that but moreover he enjoys jumping out the skylights and zig zagging across the fourth floor roof Shock

Mostly he does it to chase squirrels though.

crazynanna · 09/05/2012 21:42

Crazykitten can hang off the clothes airer like a gymnast Wink

ripsishere · 10/05/2012 09:24

My boys would be in heaven. Ginge could sit at the top and dribble on us and greyhead could sneer in his sneery way.
Ginger loves climbing the clothes horse. He did it this morning but came unstuck on a pair of DDs socks when they didn't provide the stable claw hold he was expecting.

EnjoyResponsibly · 10/05/2012 10:04

The ER kittens would LOVE IT! Then they would drop off it at random intervals because they have the balancing skills of bananas.

ER kitten II fell out of a low bush a minute ago. The shame

EnjoyResponsibly · 10/05/2012 10:06

Rips did he shrug it off in a "meant to do that" kind of way Grin

helpyourself · 10/05/2012 10:12

You'd need a daily cleaner with a ladder Grin

GusTheOneEyedPolarBear · 10/05/2012 10:12

My cat would love this, he's a big climber but also isn't keen on going outside - admittedly not a great combo, but this would give him best of both!

Lizcat · 10/05/2012 12:34

My cats turn their noses up at anything that is designed for/ purchased for them. Currently they sleep on either human or dog beds, they play only with dog and child toys.
