He has pooed in my front garden, scared FABCat and just been hanging around in our back garden. I know I can't stop him coming in but FABCat is ill and shoudn't have any stress. I am worried they will fight Sad. Actually FABCat will probably just race for her cat flap and safety but she should be living out her last few months in peace and quiet Sad.

The other cat is very cute though Smile.

Do you know if the new cat is male or female? Sparkling cat is a female and hates all other female cats. if a male cat comes along, she starts rolling around and flirting. Grin

JustFab · 08/05/2012 21:25

I have no idea. FABCat is scared of every other cat in the world Sad and definitely won't be doing any flirting!

I was told once that cats are like people and they will like or dislike other cats just like we do with no reason to it.

Sparkling Cat is just a strumpet and a tease, she has been spayed. Grin

I would be getting the water pistol out if I were you though, if it is already bothering poor *FABCat. Sad

turn the hose on newcat. Unless you have a ban, then get a supersoaker water gun.

MNP · 09/05/2012 01:11

Water the new cat.

JustFab · 09/05/2012 07:22

that sounds cruel but then FABCat is very ill and shouldn't have any stress.

Agree with the others. Water and lots of it is the way to go. You know yourself that you couldn't monitor or influence where fabcat roamed in her roaming days.
My boys invite a black and white cat (gender unknown) to play in the shed with them.

Sparklingbrook · 09/05/2012 07:31

It's fine, It's only a bit of water and it shouldn't take long to get the message. Plus *FABCat needs you to do it. Grin

FABCat never went anywhere when she was small but these days she wanders around the close a bit but I have never seen her go in anyone's garden. She may do but she is scared of every other cat - the previous owners said there were no cats here Angry, there were loads, so would be surprised if she bothers any other furball. 3 have gone but there is at least another 3.

I will keep an eye and see what happens. It did run off when I went outside.
