Outdoor cat houses

I know this is a bit geeky of me as i saw this on Come Dine With Me but bear with me Wink

We are looking at moving house and are loving a lot of town houses, the problem is that the ground floor of the one we really like only has a bedroom and bathroom at the rear of the property. So there is nowhere for us to put a cat flap (and i dont want it to go straight into the bedroom)

So basically what we want is, a cosy 'shed' for our two cats to take refuge in during the day when we are at work, we will then let them in when we get home.

They tend to like to come and go as they please and are used to our cat flap. They like to have a nap during the day.

The thing i saw on CDWM was about 6ft tall and prob 6ft wide, it had a door with a cat flap and a nice warm cosy area for the cats to nap and an exposed area (netted) for their food during the day. It was like a posh shed for cats.

But can i find it on tinternet? No. So i was wondering if any of you MNers could point me in the right direction.

Many thanks

Hello, just found this? Any good?

www.woodenart.org.uk/products.php?product=The-Emily-Luxury-Outside-Cat-House-Kennel#

I adopted an elderly arthritic tomcat who could never use the cat flap. Because I was worried about him getting wet if we left him in the garden, we went out and bought a cat house, nowhere near as posh/expensive as this, but ok. Bought a new blanket, catbed and water dish. Showed it to him, pushed gently placed him in it, did he ever use it? No, did he buggery, bless!

Or do you know anyone who would make one for you? Then you could have exactly what the pampered babies you want. Smile

oh oh oh maybe that is adorable!! a bit smaller than the one on CDWM but that one would do perfectly. DH could prob make it too as he is a bit handy and loves a project.

Pampered babies! Soooo true Grin although having said that they are moody little buggers and so will probably 'laugh at your catshed' Grin

I will tentatively suggest this to DH, he is more precious than me about the boys, if he had his way they would have their own little summerhouse with en suite facilities and a kitchenette! Hmm Grin

thank you for that
