Can't find my cat

Have a little rescue cat, we have had her for 5 months. She only goes out for 15-20 minutes at a time and always comes back when you call her.
Went out at 7.30. Realised she wasn't back in at 8.30 after putting dc's to bed. Have been out in the street several times since then but no sign of her.
Once before she wouldn't come back in as she ( I think) was frightened by a local cat who seems to be the "dominant" cat in the area.
That cat is around this evening so I am hoping she is hiding waiting for things to be safe. I tried to out food out but the other cat came for it. Every time I shout for my cat the other cat comes.

I dont have a cat flap and have left the back door open but really need to shut it now as it is late. She is chipped but doesn't have a collar, as they kepy coming off.

Don't know what else I can do tonight. Wont be able to hear her at the door if I am in bed and can't really stay up all night.

Really worried about her- can't look any further than immediate neighbours as can't leave dc on their own.

Wish I hadn't let her out earlier.

How horrible and worrying.
Has she come home yet?

Yes she turned up at 6am - absolutely fine! I had virtually no sleep and had been checking at the back door every hour or so all night!

I'm so glad Grin . I've been watching this thread to see if she did come back safely [stalker emoticon] .
