The litter tray

Pissy pussy - has suddenly started peeing everywhere...

She's an indoor cat, 8 months old, not yet neutered and has not yet come into season. Shares litter box and life with large male Maine Coon (who has been "done"). Cats get on well, sleep together, groom each other. Litter box is cleaned of turds daily, and cleaned out completely regularly.

Pissy pussy started by peeing on the hall rug two weeks ago, and has since peed on any item of clothing left on the floor or in the bath in the family bathroom (where the litter box is). Last night she peed on our bed (she usually sleeps at the foot of it with the other cat). It was a huge pee. She then trotted off and finished her pee in the litter box.

I know I'm going to have to take her to the vet, but any idea why she has started this? She has been scrupulously clean until now (as is the other cat), and apart from this, is the perfect kitten. Sad

No idea why but my boy started to do this on bed and clothes. (Never in front of me!) we had to shut him out of our room and never leave clothes on the floor. Interested to find a reason.

Marking her territory. She is at the age where hormones come into play. Male un-neutered cats spray pee up the furniture. I would get her spayed asap before the behaviour gets too entrenched.
