Can't find my darling cat

Staying with my parents due to recently leaving FWH (another story!)

Started letting my cats out last week. All fine till tonight. One of them won't come in. It's raining, been calling for ages, looked around with a torch. It's not like him. Usually I go out and call and he comes sprinting. He was indoors for nearly 3 years and is very attached to me.

Emotional anyway at the moment, but am now lying in bed sobbing. If anyone has any advice as to how to get find him, please share. About an hour ago I heard him meowing, looked around with a torch but couldn't see him. I sound crazy, but I do not know what I would do if he didn't come back :-(

Well it's good news that you have heard him, so he hasn't gone far. I'm sure he'll be there in the morning, wanting food!

Maybe he's in a shed/garage but there's a window open so he sounds close?

He will come back, he knows you need him:)

He came back! Very cold and slightly damp but fine.
