Arghhhhhh, never going away sore

Pussycat has a sore on her leg, an irritation from fleas (all gone) but it won't heal.

Vet gave her steroids, they have not worked, a collar, that's been on two weeks. Just taken it off and puss instantly licks her sore!

Any suggestions how to stop her licking so the sore has time to grow fur??

I paint essential oil of lavender on their fur to stop them licking. It works but you cant be to liberal with it as it will get into the skin and is toxic to them.

However I have kept bandages on all week doing this and have yet to kill a cat.

The vet never comments on the cat smelling of lavender either.

Where and how do you put it on?

Dumb question, can I just use normal bandages to dress the sore?

I lightly paint his fur with it using a cotton bud.

You can tray wrapping a bandage on it. The cat will try and take it off though.

did you solve the problem as I had exactly the same and seem to have resolved it these last 2 weeks
