Needy cat

i have three cats. Two are normal and the third is so needy! She follows me round the house constantly mewing, does the twining in and out of legs thing all the time and if I stop moving sits next to me patting me with her claws out and mewing.

I feel bad as I keep accidentally kicking her as she does the leg twining thing and I have trapped her head in a cupboard too. She also tripped DH on the stairs and he fell the whole way down.

Any advice on making her calmer? I've started giving her Felix sensations in the morning as she blots it and falls asleep happy. In my old house I started putting her out of the front door to just have a few minutes break while she made her way to the back door (cat flap).

She's lovely but driving me mad!

i have a similar thing, bit suffocating tbh although i am very fond of her. i too keep accidentally tripping up over her. i have never tried this stuff but i see alot of others on here recommend this plug in stuff that is supposed to chill them out, someone will come along and give you its name, felliway, or something like that. just wondering, what is so good about these felix senstations you speak of? just curious. my cat will only come to me which frustrates the others. i would LOVE her to go to them as well as me but i can't make her, must be my charm or something....dh says it is because i smell of fish :D

Give her some concentrated attention and then she might be content to go to sleep?

When mine behaves like this I give her the kind of affection that I like to give - a big hug. She endures it for a few seconds, then goes away Smile

my half siamese is the same follows me everywhere, shes just one of those cats by the sounds of it, can you not put her outside in this house as it sounds like a bit of fresh air will make her less dependant on you

I'll have a look for that plug in.

If I put her out here she just comes straight in the cat flap (very quick here as we're semi-detached rather than in a terrace.

I try giving her lots of attention but she's not satiable it seems!

Felix sensations is just packet food (rather than tin) but my lot go mental for it!
