Sparkling Cat and Food

Somehow I seem to have got into the position that she will only eat Felix pouches 'As Good as it Looks' and only in fish flavours. It costs about £4.50 for a box of 12.

Any advice for getting her to eat more variety, or a slightly cheaper brand? Any supermarket brands are instantly rejected. Also she won't eat anything that has been down for a while-has to be fresh. Hmm

Well now, this is a battle of wills isn't it? SparklingCat isn't silly, she knows you will cave. So don't. Start mixing the Felix with other food, preferably biscuits, over a week or so. Then take the wet food away and if she leaves the biscuits they will still be there at the end of the day. She will eat it eventually.

Cats - perpetual toddlers!

You are so right Pascha it is like toddlers!

I will try the biscuit thing. I would like to get her onto Iams or similar ideally, and get rid of the stinky fishy pouches altogether.

I'm still not there after 10+ years Hmm. The Ginger Moron is basically a plank though. The Snowshoe would happily eat nice biscuits all the time but the stupid one totally refuses. I'm not buying lots of types of food so they both have the same tins mixed with biscuits - I should be pleased with that I guess.

The Snowshoe supplements his diet with miceys though (beautifully strewn across my back doorstep).

Try raw beef, turkey etc.

Our fussy cat will eat all food eventually if gutsy leave any! They now get 3 wet meals a day and I buy 4 lots of biscuits and rotate the 3 biscuit bowls between the flavours.

Asda Tiger Select has just been rejected. She is sitting on the front drive giving me the furry 'V's in disgust.

Have you tried Aldi cat food? I use the premium pouches at £2.99 sometimes but at the moment he is having the jelly selection at £2.39 (for 12 pouches) and it seems to keep him full.

Mines just eaten some biscuits, he holds me in contempt too.

pmsl at furry v's.

I will buy some Aldi and see what she makes of it thanks Fluffy. I could mix it in with a bit of the ££££ stuff. She won't eat Sheba Confused I have tried that thinking at least it would be different but thats even more £££££.
