Catnip 'knotties'

Best present I've ever bought my two - 50p each in a little bag at the local Cats Protection branch/shop.

No idea what they've impregnated the things with but I've never seen my two so enamoured with anything for so long, in fact I've had to put them in a closed cupboard now (the knotties, not the cats :) as they were trying to climb tables and shelves to get to them.

Money so well spent I had to share :)

:) - isn't it funny how cats' favourite toys are always cheap ones? I've spent a fortune on fancy toys for mine but his absolute favourites are 6 tiny mice that I paid 99p for. He has a tendancy to sit in the large front window to play with them so goodness knows what passers-by think!

I agree peahen.

My cats favourite ? A big piece of brown paper that was in our last Amazon order.

Three weeks later - they still both play with it every day.

The scratching post - bored of that.
The catnip toys I made them - bored of that.
The 2 packs of 6 coloured balls - lost them - dont know where as I've looked under all the furniture.

Ours has a rolled up sock, shaped loosely like a mouse with a shoe lace wrapped around it like a tail.

Loves it.

Todays favorite game was biting mommy while having a mad 2 hours. I'm the toy that never gets lost under the sofa.

Ha ha ha - yes, that's something I've finally learned after three years and lots of money down the drain on cat toys I liked and left my two completely cold :)

Favourite everyday items in this house include a red string cord that I drag up and down on the path outside the house every night, (neighbours also think I'm potty)

Usually tigger will catch hold of one end of the red string and just keep his paw on it while sitting down, with me at the other end standing there like a lemon. I've lost count of the amount of people that have walked by me and thought there was a dog on the end of the 'leash' Grin

Catnip knotties, Mr Nippy Ted (tiny teddy bear I can fill with cat-nip) and a variety of other squashy toys marinading in the cat-nip pot at any given time.

Laser pointer is ok too for about 20 secs and then it dawns on them that there's nothing to grab hold of and they give me that look that says 'you think I'm stupid, hoomin?'

Oh, and the ultimate cheap game (in fact it's free) - Bed Mouse - aka waggling your fingers around under the bit of duvet they're lying on - drives them mental :)

I need help don't I?

Bed mouse definately !!!

Waggling fingers under one end of the duvet and toes under the other end send the kitten batty.
Downside is - kitten now thinks its acceptable to 'pounce' on my face to wake me up in the morning. He never does it to DH and I think the dogs and old cat send him in to do it !!!

My kittens (cats? 11 months old) play with my bra when I take it off at night. They drag it around Hmm :o
