Cat mess on the lawn

There's a lot of cat mess on our lawn (I don't think it's our cat as she uses a litter tray). Does anyone know how to avoid this - I thought cats buried their mess. Thanks.

They don't 'bury' their mess on a lawn - there's no loose earth to scratch over it. You can try commercial cat repellent products, or use orange/lemon peel - they don't like the smell. I haven't come across any reliable way to keep cats off a lawn, though.

It will be a dominant cat in the area marking its' territory. It annoys me too, but unless you can catch a cat in the act, you just have to shovel it up and get rid.

Some cats also like longer grass, which is probably not being kept short yet due to the time of year.

Oh this sooooooo annoys me cats roam everywhere dogs not allowed anywhere and get disapproving looks from neighbour when he pees up the bush bah humbug... my Mum uses some glass eyed cat thing ? keeps them off apparently

We have cats on either side of us & everynow and then they poo on my lawn. I use the strong smelling sandy stuff that you sprinkle on the lawn - you can buy it in garden centres. It seems to work, as it is a long time before they re-visit!

I have 2 cats and I haven't yet found a foolproof method of keeping the dumb ginger one from crapping on his own lawn. Sorry.

human grownup male pee! You collect it in buckets and then ahem sprinkle it around... it scares them off. It really does.

But then your lawn will smell like the back yard of a Working Mens' Club Confused
