Collars and ID tags

Can someone recommend somewhere preferably online where I can get a good quality collar for my cat? Also an engraved ID tag.

What sort of collar should I get, I know there can be risks with them...?

And what info should I have engraved on the tag - some combination of cat's name/address/home no/mobile no/microchip no...?

I often get our car collars and IDs from eBay. Our cat gets thru a lot of collars and they're reasonably priced. We just put the cats' names, first line of address and phone number on there.

I get the collars with the elastic part, you can get ones with an easy 'snap' fastener, but they last less than 24hrs. My cat gets through two collars/year, she doesn't have an id tag at present, but when she did it had her name and my home number on it (I got one collar back that way).

pettag.co.uk are good- their customer service is excellent. They do cat id tags in different colours and shapes, which are quite distinctive, when one of my cats disappeared for a few days she was found and brought safely home because of a photo of her wearing her tag.

I went to pets at home or animals are us, whatever the big pet shop chain is.
Me and DD spent a productive 10 minutes making one each for our boys.
Both lost their collars within a day of wearing them. I think I made them too loose in case they choked.
