Shit my landlord is gonna kill me

Earlier on I heard meowing and scratching in the kitchen. Archie was on my knee so knew it wasn't him (he's bloody huge anyway). So I go to investigate and check all cupboards, the dishwasher and oven. I couldn't find bella. I then feel something pawing at my feet and I find her wedged between the dishwasher and the skirting bit at the bottom (dishwasher is intragated). After half an hour searching for how she got stuck I can't find it. Anyway she couldn't move backwards which is obviously the direction she came from. So the only thing I could think of was to get the skirting off. I tried to find the joins or even take the bottom off the cupboard but I couldn't get it. I needed to resort to screwdrivers to pry it away. I was doing really well until I got to to the end and it broke (also causing me to cut 4 fingers and my other hand.
Thankfully bella is fine, limping a bit but fine. If she's still limping tomorrow I'll pop her to the vet.

But back to my problem, what can I do about the broken skirting???

Try looking for a local joiner, yellow pages or somesuch.

I would think you'd be able to get it sorted for a few pounds. Smile

No more nails?

My landlord is a joiner but he will go totally mental. He's trying to evict me as it is (2 weeks rent arrears) and this will be just what he needs. Think I'll try and patch it up and hope he doesn't notice till I can get it sorted properly

No more nails or builders adhesive, sandpaper, filler and paint.

Stick it back on, once set, sand joint smooth, fill any defect and paint.
