How much does your 6-month old eat?

We've had our gorgeous kitten 3 days and I'm trying to work out the right amount to feed her. The first couple of days I don't think I was giving her enough - 2 pouches of Felix kitten per day plus dry Iams food. So now I'm giving her 3 pouches a day so basically 3 'meals' per day plus dry food. Does this sound about right?

I tend to go on how slim/fat he is. He has 3 pouches plus 2 handfuls of dry food.

SIL cat has two pouches and no dry food but doesnt want anymore than that.
