Do cats catch colds?

My cat has been sneezing loads for the last day or so and I wondered if he had a cat cold or something and if so is there anything I should do?

Sorry if this sounds a really stupid question Confused

My cats get colds (or cold like symptoms anyway). It has never been an issue but I remember being told when our little boy was a kitten to watch out for him going off food and more particularly water and getting dehydrated so I always pay particular attention to this when they are snivelly.

He is eating ok and drinking water but I will keep an eye on him just in case. Thanks.

In cats Coughing can sounds like sneezing too. Listen to your cats chest for any rattles or wheezes. If you can hear anything, get it checked out at the vet.

Has he been vaccinated against Cat Flu? Sneezing is a common symptom. Mostly the vet sticks them on antibiotics and eye drops, if the eyes are sore too. :)

Lots of sneezing can also be a sign of ear mites. If there is loads of black gunky wax in his or her ears then it's probably a good idea to get the vet to have a look.
