I have asked a local teenager (16/17) to pop in every day while we're away over Christmas to feed cat and change her tray - perhaps play with her for a bit. Cattery fees are starting to feel v expensive! Lovely, sensible girl - on an animal care course and very trustworthy.

How much would you say is a fair amount to pay her? (she lives 4 mins walk away)

1/4 of cattery fees?

I was happy to accept £5 per day (offered not suggested) to look after my Mum's friend's cat -I'm 30 and had to drive to get there but there was no litter tray to sort out...
