Black cat day!

As I have one little black cat and a black and white devil this is something I feel particularly strongly about. My black cat has the lovliest nature and we adore him, but he only came to us because he wasn't wanted by anyone else because he was black.

We were lucky and so was he (though I'm sure he feels he could be fed a bit more often and deserves the seat on the sofa I dare to occupy) so I thought I'd let you know about the Cats' Protection Black Cat Day!

I've never understood why black cats are overlooked in rescues. I think even a touch of white means they'll be more likely to be rehomed. SIlly superstition.

I love black cats! Have a handsome black boy cat and a sweet brindle tortoisehell girl. When we went to the rescue centre I couldn't take my eyes off him because he was so beautiful.
