I am adopting a kitten from a local rescue shelter. I'm not a huge fan of her name, but have got to know her as that. So do I change it or not?

DD want's "Rapunzel" (no danger). DS would like "Nia" (female lego ninja apparently) which I quite like. I quite like Leia (both a princess, and in star wars, so satisfies both kids and DH!).

Thats not too bad! My neighbour has a cocker spaniel called cookie! What would you call her if you changed it?

BlondeBatgirl · 25/10/2011 23:03

You answered that while i was typing! LOL!
I like Leia!
In my case Bob was a horse! Makes you wonder what some people are thinking!!!

Kids are divided. I think unless a new name sticks, we'll go with cookie.

Our cat was called spartacus, then peter by his breeder. We call him bertie but if you say peter he still turns his head to look at you.

We tried to change the name of one of our childhood cats but she wasnt having any of it.

I think it depends on the cat and its worth giving it a go.
