lump on back of her neck

i am so gutted as i have just found a lump on the back of my 16 week old kitten. i think is hurting her as she just snapped at ds when he touched at and she woud never usually do that. have an appointment at vet but praying it nothing serious.

Is she your only cat? Sounds like a small infection - an abscess - they can be very painful and the best-behaved cat will lash out if you touch it.

Vet asap. Hope she's ok.
