Had to have him put to sleep

My cat had been missing for a bit and we found him yesterday. It seems he had suffered some kind of paralysis and he'd lost all movement and sensation in his hind legs. Vet thinks it was a blood clot and said there was nothing we could do.

He was only 1 on monday and was the gentlest, most lovely cat I've ever met.

I am totally devastated by his death.

Sad

I'm so sorry to hear that, Rattus. You did the only thing you could - the final kindness for your companion. It does seem doubly unfair when something like this happens to such a young cat, when you'd been expecting years together.

It will take a long time to get over him. Perhaps in time you could rescue a kitten, in his memory,so at least some good comes out of it?

Lucky that you found him when you did so at least you could help him when he most needed you :-)

I am sorry. We had to have our three year old cat put to sleep a few months ago. It is very sad when they are so young.
It's good that you were able to find him and help him at the end though.

Our family's 19 year old cat was PTS last week, it's devastating x
