Do you always use the same vet?

Cat has a manky ear (looks like it has been bitten after being in a fight) and I suspect he needs antibiotics.

DH and I really don't want to take time of work atm, so if I can't get him seen by our usual vet at a time I'm not working, then I was thinking of phoning around different vets. Do people usually do this?

Probably a stupid question, but I'm more used to taking DC to the GP!

Yes you can use a different vet. They will probably want a copy of his med notes if your cat becomes a more regular visitor.

Of course if you and your pet are happy with your usual vet it makes sense to stick to the one where you can but for things like annual vaccinations/flea and wormer etc it's well worth ringing around for prices if you can get to any one of a few surgeries - but remember to check the consultation fees too.

I do. But only because they live next door Grin

He doesn't really have any med notes, bless him. He's 14 but has never had anything wrong with him.

DH has put Savlon on his ear. Hmm (That's the cat's ear not DH's ear)
