Do I need to tell the RSPCA?

Hi
Moved house about 6 months ago and decided to get a cat, so had a house inspection etc. and then got princess from the RSPCA.
Had to sign forms etc. saying we wouldn't let her out at night but we have a cat flap and when they want out they go out.
Got a call from my friend this morning and am very sad to say that Princess has been killed.
Hubby is away but friends hubby picked her up for me and she is now in the garage awaiting burial.
Do I have to tell the RSPCA like it said on the forms, what do you think?

I would tell them. you don't need to say when she got killed, just tell them. Are you getting another one? If so, it is a good idea to keep them in at night, get a lockable cat flap.

I phoned to let them know yesterday, then she actually called me back to say it was a borderline whether they were going to let us have one because of the road, so probably been blacklisted now!
She has now been put in a lovely hole at the bottom of the garden

Well as sorry as I am they did say to keep her in at night because it's the most dangerous time for them.

My cats want to go out at night but I won't let him. It's a hard lesson learned and your cat has paid for you not taking the advice you were given.

Some cats will always want to go out at night, I have had catflaps brokern so they can achieve this. My cats go in and out all day and night.

I've had two cats killed on the road, so I keep my rspca rescue cat inside all night now. I have to lock and barricade the cat flap though.

Sorry but i cannot understand this locking and barricading of cat flaps. If cats are trying to get out through locked cat flaps, why are you not just locking the cat out of the kitchen or whereever the flap is? They cant get through closed doors!
