Kitten suddenly gone off wet food

She is about 5mths old now and has suddenly stopped eating her wet food. Have tried different brands but no joy. She s still drinkng and still eating dry kitten food.

Does it matter if she only eats dry food ??

I have just tried mixing wet and dry together and she iis licking it atm but not eaten any yet.

I was told that dry foos is better for their teeth.

Is there any particular reason you were giving her wet food?

No not really lol.

When we had our first cat we only ever gave her dry food until she was ill once and I had to mx her meds with wet food. It kind of stuck then and she always now has one ouch a day and a bowl of dry down all the time.

Gypsy (kitten) has been having dry food down all the time and then about 1 kitten pouch a day.

I could never get my cat to eat wet food, he's always eaten the dry 'complete nutrition' type biscuits plus some boiled chicken for a treat now and then. I asked the vet about this and he seemed to think that a balanced dry food is much better for them than wet.

Oh well that's fine then. I will start buying a better dry food and just give her that.

We got two kittens from the same litter. One would eat both wet and dry food - the other only dry food. For simplicity, we give them good quality dry food - Purina or Iams. They also have fresh fish a few times a week and occasionally tinned "people" tuna.
