Dribbling cat

Hey all, my cat is 11 months old. She dribbles a lot when you make a fuss of her. My sister says it's a sign of a bad tooth. However I'm not so sure as she doesn't dribble any other time other than when she is purring. So i thought I'd ask in here ?

Oh god, mine did this for YEARS! He's got better as he's got older; when he was younger he'd sit on my lap and I'd stroke him and I'd end up with a big wet patch. He would quite literally drip from the mouth when you made a fuss of him.

He's 16 now. He's not as bad, but still dribbles a bit when he's really 'getting into' having a fuss.

The vet said it was fine, some cats are just like that apparently!

it's a sort of regression -to -kittenhood behaviour. Does he knead at your and / or suck / chew your clothes at the same time?

Mine does it sometimes. One if my childhood cats did it everytime you fussed him.

I've got a drooler too.

She sometimes just gets so into having a fuss made of her that she can't seem to help it, she has this expression of pure bliss as her ears are rubbed... and then comes the slobbery chin.

My cat is 13 and dribbles all over me when purring, always has, I think its normal.
