next doors 9 cats.... enough for RSPCA call?

Hi, my neighbours cause no end of trouble, unapproachable so dont want to talk to them about it...

They have 9 cats, 5 are around 12wk old kittens, 1 is mum, 1 is dad (i pressme) and 2 other un-neutered males.

None of the 4 adults are neutered, as far as I can gather they dont have jabs/ wormer/ flea treatment... They intend to keep all the kittens, and I gather they too will go un-jabbed etc... I also worry about any of the kittens being females and being impregnated by one of their males at a very young age...

They live on benefits, kids dont go to school, mum and older kids on drugs... House looks more like squatters live there than a family. Am I over-reacting in considering giving RSPCA a call? What would you do?

Er, do you think it might be an idea to be considering the kids who 'don't attend school' and are living in a pigsty first? I am a major animal lover but it sounds like the children need more immediate help ?

That is 'supposedly' being helped by the appropriate people (not that I see much of it) but I'm thinking that if they cant look after themselves they shouldn't be having all them cats. Especially as other than their need for food I really dont think their other needs are being met.

Just googled and it seems that siblings would mate, and even parents & offspring would mate :(

I suppose it could be worth a go contacting RSPCA but I have heard many stories about how crap they are. If the cats are being fed and watered they probably won't want to know. If the owners are on benefits then they should get reduced cost neutering for the cats but they don't sound the type to do that sadly. Iveould maybe also phone cats protection and ask some advice from them.

Rspca are always quicker to take pets away than SS are to take children.
I'd phone the RSPCA, anon., and say one/some of the cats are showing symptoms of cat flu.
