I have an 8 yr old Maine Coon.. beautiful big healthy boy usually!
However he has very sensitive skin. he is allergic to flea bites and one flea brings out horrible scabby eczema all over him, so he has very regular flea prevention etc.

Recently he started scratching a lot and started going bald round his neck (he doesn't with eczema) The vet checked him and agreed with me..no apparent cause (defo no fleas either) He gave him steroids to calm down the inflammation, but he is still scratching. ONLY his neck. Poor boy has a lot of fur missing but there is nothing to see that could be causing him to scratch.

Any suggestions or experience please? Thanks!

Change his food? It could be food allergies. Your vet should be reffering you for allergy tests if you can't control the allergy. My dog has food allergies.
