which would be better, cattery or cat feeding service? I think it's too long a time to ask one of the neighbours to feed her ...

She's never been in a cattery so would hate it, but I don't like the idea of her being on her own most of the time in the house

which would be least worst?

I would suggest a feeding service or if you can get someone - a friend or neighbour to look after your cat while you are away. I have done both and found my cat happier and less stressed being at home.

The cattery was ok but he peed all over his cat bed while he was in the cattery. The staff at the cattery didn't notice that he had soiled his bed :(

Good luck!

Get a cat feeding service in, but speaking as someone who petsits, please shut her in with a litter tray. Not only will it give you peace of mind knowing she is safe, but it also makes petsitting much easier as you can be guaranteed to see the cat every day (even if they are under the bed!) and so make sure they are OK and not in need of vet attention.
