how can I stop cat crapping on my garden path?

new next door neighbours cat I think

anything I can use to repel the cat?

A dog; an airgun; a small boy... It's just laying claim to your garden as its territory, I think, and leaves it out in the open as a sign to other cats. We honestly haven't seen a cat in our garden since getting a dog.

Is it a teenyweeny path? If so cover in foil for a while to deter it. Otherwise you can buy smelly powder that can be put on the path or try oranges/lemons? Could you stick little canes ( the very diddly ones) in the cracks of the pavement, they don't like canes up their bottoms.

Or it's lay there in wait with a jug of water or the hose

Lie in wait with a supersoaker water gun. When you see the cat give it both barrels. It won't come back after that.

can't get another dog for various reasons

path is quite big and used by ds and his friends all the time to get to the back garden

Some huge local bully cat is the culprit on my patio. He will crap,walk away slowly,then turn and look at you as if to say "Yea? Beat that!"..all this according to my 12 year old.

Well,I think I can 'beat that' with my grandson's watergun
