The litter tray

Help cat being sick after 2nd vaccination - is this normal?

Well that's it really - only had her a few days and took her for her second lot of vaccination this afternoon. She seemed ok, bit lethargic maybe I was expecting that. Anyway about 4 hours after the jab she suddenly started mewling like she was in pain and went to the litter tray and promptly threw up several times (bless her that she headed for the tray!)

She is now sleeping behind the couch (her favourite place as she is still a bit nervy anyway).

Is this normal or should I be worried?

So long as she has settled and is not vomiting any more then just monitor her. If ongoing problems or you are worried for any reason give the vet a call.

Thanks beautiful girls, she has been fine so far, so what and when do I give her to eat as she hasn't had anything since? How long are they off colour after a vaccination - 24 hours?

A little chicken or fish would be good today, give a few small meals rather than a normal bowl size. Should pick up now if was vaccine related.

Well she turned her nose up at my lovingly prepared chicken! So gave her dry food yesterday. Am quite sure a fair bit of sulking went on lol! Have tried her with small amount of wet today which she seemed very keen to have but hasn't eaten that much (although she never has done so far since we got her so still don't know what will be normal for her).
Fingers crossed she seems much more alert. Thanks for the advice Smile
