4 minutes to vet surgery going from normal surgery to out of hours surgery,a and our cat has walked out of the playroom with blood on his paw and limping.

I called them, and because by the time we get there will be out of hours we have to pay £130 for initial consultation plus any treatment.

It's a rule of thumb that if you pet is going to get ill or injure themselves, it will always be out of hours or on a weekend! Hope puss is better soon.

I kow how you feel, few yrs ago saved up like mad exactly the same amount as you for a karen millen dress, the same day i was going to go get it my cat decided to walk across a wall with glass cemented in the top, needless to say i never did quite get that dress!

worst this was a month later she did the same thing again!

Comes with having a pet.

Get insurance.

Mine conspire to bankrupt me occasionally. Last time Devil Dog had a skin flare up. Consultation plus cream = £45. The next day Whippy dog cut her leg £130 to stitch her back up. Three days later Fat Cat jams his tail in the door - consultation plus x-ray plus bandages £350 Shock

They do it on purpose I am sure of it. They get jealous that the first pet has been to the vet and thus has treats and sympathy so they deliberately injure each other Grin

Second insurance - I took out £60 pet insurance - 6 weeks later cat has run into a car £2,000 - that £60 looks good value!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
