Has your kitty turned into a serial killer?

She's gone mad.

I mean really crazed.

It's all about the kill.

Formally gentle an placid kitty has turned into a tree-climbing, nest-raiding maniac.

Last night she launched 2 separate attacks on 2 separate spiders, one upstairs and one down. Simultaneously! Kept me awake for hours.

I've given a her real harsh talking to but I'm not sure she's listening.

Any ideas?

I think some of them don't get hunting till there older. Mine didn't notice birds till he was 1. Now it's the killing fields.

Our cat (10 months old) has suddenly discovered his killing instincts. Must be the spring. His prey of choice is bees - he keeps bringing them in, still buzzing in his mouth, then eating half and spitting the remains all over the floor.

Bleurgh bleugh bleugh.

Am dreading what will happen as his ambition grows. Even the squirrels - who used to sit on the fence and laugh at him - are looking a bit alarmed.

One of mine is awful- including baby rabbits and a pigeon even. Never brings them in the house though, which is amazing. The other is lucky if she catches a butterfly, and most of the time she can't be bothered to do that! Spring time is def worse for killing :(

Ours bring us voles - they are so cute (the voles that is). Last year we nursed some back to health but to no avail - they just keep bringing them Sad

Tell me about it. I currently have a vole under my bath (I kid you not).

Brought in last night by my cat. I left them in the bathroom and went next door (mainly to use their loo!) and came back an hour later to find no sign of critter. Dropping off to sleep when I heard scurrying. Cat runs in to bathroom with me in tow, and yes, Voley has got under the bath. Cat can't reach it (nor can I, too much silicone in the way) so I decamped to other bedroom (far from noise) with cat for some shut eye, only to have her jumping off my bed every few mins to investigate the noises she could obviously still hear coming from said bathroom. As far as I know it's still there now, tho the cat has given up on it!!!!

The first birds she brought in were blackbirds, but we've had wee-er ones in since (alive!). She also brought in a rat a while back, whcih considering it was half her size I was most impressed, though not what I wanted to find on my kitchen floor!

She's currently averaging about 1 critter a day...that I know about. I dread moving my bed and finding a pile of guts under it.....
