www.catgoods.com/

Have recently ordered two (free shipping). They seem to have some very positive comments from various universities and wildlife projects.

Like the inventor we love cats but we also enjoy wildlife coming into our gardens.

How does it work? Does it make the cat too embarrassed to go out? I think my two would crap in my shoes if I inflicted those on them!

Apparently it inhibits the pounce - so the bird, amphibian, rodent has a chance to escape.

The only problem I can see is that it won't stop her getting young birds that are on the ground but not properly fledged. In the late spring we regularly get young thrushes and blackbirds hiding under shrubs while Mum and Dad bring them food.

Won't comment on the bib as have no experience of them but please be really careful and only buy a collar that snaps open, not the elasticated type of collar. Have seen too many injuries to cats that manage to get a front leg up through the collar and then get stuck. Contrary to what the website that sells bibs says the only safe collar is a snap open collar - which may mean losing the collar and bib sadly.

My cat would have it off in ohhh about two seconds. Would be a hateful waste of money.

I think my cat would disown me if I tried to put her in that, tried being the word, because she'd probably rip my hands off when I tried to put it on.

How does it stay dangling down at the front? I've just got visions of my dear furry little psycho wearing it like a cape Grin

Well I'll let you know in a couple of days time. The two I ordered arrived this morning - very prompt!

The bib is intended to go on to a collar and is recommended only to be put on when the cat goes outside. Ours has a collar and bell that she wears when she goes outs so I slid the bib on as well just to try it out and she didn't seem unduly bothered. Haven't let her out yet - it's raining and she's having her morning snooze on the bed.

It looks like a kipper tie! I hope for the cats' sake it tastes like kipper and not tie!
