Do cats dream?

FabCat was asleep and then suddenly jumped up and made a very unusual sound. DH said she had a nightmare. I don't think he cared Hmm but I do Sad. She is getting on and I want her to have nice dreams Grin. She is quite noisy when asleep.

Of course cats dream. I don't think they often sleep deep enough to sleep but when they're properly relaxed and doze off they defiantly dream. It's quite funny to see them wake with a fright sometimes as if something startled them in a dream or to hear the strange noises they make while dreaming. When my eldest has had a bad dream and she wakes up and finds she's all alone she cries out and we have to shout her from where ever we are and she comes in for a cuddle. They're such babies :)

Yes mine certainly does. You can tell when he's dreaming as he's a bit twitchy, his ears wiggle and such like. Doesn't always dream though.

DH just came in and said my cat is fickle Hmm. She was hissing and growling as she didn't want to go to bed and as soon as he got her biscuits she was all "miaow." Grin

that's my girl.

Yes cats dream. I have a tortoiseshell that snores too! Its funny watching them because their wiskers twitch like someone is tickling their nose :o

I love my cat Grin.

She is naughty, cheeky, fickle but really funny and gorgeous too.

One of mine does that Wakes up really distressed crying like a big baby.He dreams too and is often seen 'running' while fast asleep on the sofa and has a few times caught something in his sleep and eaten it!GrinI love cats

I just bought mine a new collar. She hasn't seen it yet though so can't comment if she thinks it is suitable. She has settled down for a nap as she has had a busy morning sleeping on the sofa Grin.

Dont talk to me about collars :o mine hate them so I have given up. All chipped instead. My cats believe it or not chew each others off as if it is a jail breakout :o

Mind you being rescued they are to wary to leave the garden or me so the chances of losing one is remote.

Mine is chipped too but she needs a collar as it has her door key on it Grin. Mind you, she insists on waiting by the front door for me to come home so she can get in just to make me feel guilty even though she has a lovely warm cosy bed near the radiator.
