Can't find my cat :(

It's only been a few hours (4 I guess) but she is still young (7 months) so normally only stays in the garden for a few minutes.

She's just vanished, have called her but no sign.
I know its not been long but I feel all sicky, and needed to offload Sad

I've gone and taken her collar off as well (she is microchipped though) because it had a bell on it, and she couldn't creep around un-noticed by DS.

All the gardens along here are small and low fenced, I've searched along them but she's not there.

Shake the catfood box when it's time for her tea. She'll be having a fantastic time exploring the area. Is she spayed? She's not too young to be out really. My cats go out once they're neutered and microchipped, so around 6 months.

Thanks I'll try that- she's a greedy beggar so hopefully that will work.

Yes she's spayed, just not like her too stay out too long- though the sun is out so maybe it's nicer out there today than it has been!

I know that sick feeling. We've often had it. But our cats have always turned up in the end.

One of ours got stuck in a tree as a kitten, but you could hear him crying for miles around.

I'm sure it'll be as TheVisitor says, and she's exploring.

All of mine have gone for extended rampages at some point or another, spayed or not... it usually starts around that age.

One of them disappeared for a week once... I was in bits and searched the countryside for him... I even checked around the local badger set for signs of a fight but couldn't fine any trace of him. Then he just turned up on the widow sill one night, scared, half starved but incredibly clean.... he must have gotten locked into a shed or something. He'd been gone so long the other cats didn't recognise him!

It's really scary when they vanish but try not to panic too much yet.... there's a very good chance she'll appear in a few hours bushy tailed and all excited at her little adventure.

Good luck

Thanks Butterbur, good to know it's what they do.
I'm being such a wimp, but she just seems so small!

SummerRain- must have been awful. Glad he turned up again!

I'm going to make a cup of tea, calm down and wait for her to come home. Smile

Good plan Smile

Hopefully she'll saunter in soon

Keep going out to call/bellow regularly though, it gives him a direction to head for if he is a long way away.

thebountymuncher · 03/02/2011 13:28

She's home!

Had to go and pick DS up from nursery, and when I got back she was waiting at the front door!
She's gone upstairs for a sleep now.

Thankyou all for your messages Smile
And sorry to have been such a drama queen!
