What will have happened to this cat?

For the first week or so we lived in this house, a cat turned up regularly mewing at the back door.

We knew the previous owners had no pets, thought it was nothing to do with us and ignored it.

After talking to our neighbours, it turns out that the cat was beiong fed by the previous owners of our house and was turning up for it's dinner. (although it wasn't technically theirs, don't know who the owner was/is)

After a week or two it stopped coming. So where did it go? Has been bothering me that it could have had a sad ending.

Cats are fickle creatures.

If you were not feeding it when it expected to be (due to previous people doing so) it will have gone elsewhere.

I live in rented and have 3 different cats who come (but I don't feed - one of them even wears a collar!) and a flock of doves - which I don't mind and I do feed them!! :o

There is a great book, called "six dinner sid" about a cat who does this and ends up poorly and attending six different vets!

cats are not daft it will just find someone else to feed him,it might not have even been a stray
