My cat's been injured

It looks really grim although not very deep and he doesn't seem to be in pain. My neighbour (bless him) is going to take him to the vets for me because I've got SPD so I can't manage the walk.

I can't figure out how it happened, at first I thought he'd been in a fight again but it looks like a graze. My neighbour thinks he might have been hit by a car.

I might start keeping the cats in at night but I'm not sure about it. They used to be quite outdoorsy but there are 3 new cats in the neighbourhood and they are all nasty buggers :( so my two don't go out much any more.

Hope he is ok, its horrible when our pets get injured, luckily my cats have been ok up to now, but dread the day. What a lovely neighbour you have Smile

Yes, we are very lucky with our neighbours! He just came to take the cat and poor DD (2 yo) was hysterical, I think she thought that my neighbour was taking the cat for good Grin

Hopefully the vet will be able to figure out what happened so I can decide whether to keep the cats in or not. DH doesn't want to but I suspect that this is because he will be on litter tray duty until the baby arrives!

He's OK! The vet thinks it was likely that he fell off a fence or wall since the wound is on his chest. That sounds about right to me, he's a very cute cat but he's not the sharpest knife in the drawer Grin he's having a good old snooze now and DD is very happy to have her furry little friend back.

I'm just making a cake for my neighbours to say thank you.
