The litter tray

Is my cat a weirdo?

She has taken to sitting in her litter tray all neatly, for pleasure, as if it's somewhere nice to sit. Not after it's been used, thankfully. Does anyone else's cat do this or is she in fact a bit of a freak Grin?

My cat used to roll around in a fresh litter tray, much as I would luxuriate in a bed with freshly-laundered sheets.

Territory thing maybe?

My boy cat has to spend at least an hour a day with his head stuffed inside a shoe. Recently worn of course.

Our cat did this when he was very little, it seemed to be a comfort thing. It only lasted a week or so.

But she's seven! Oh well, she's all curled up on the sofa now.

One of my cats likes to sometimes sit or lie in a nice fresh litter tray, so it isn't just your cat who is a freak Grin

She is 2, and has done this sporadically since we adopted her.

Other cat has been known to get in the tray too and kick litter at her which generally moves her on.

We regularly have to give in patients in the clinic two litter trays one for sleep and one for toilet!!!
