Anyone done this and give me any tips .
Its a last minute decision - want to do it before the weather and days deteriorate .
I’m going on Saturday on my own and youth hosteling
I did my first trail in the summer ( Yorkshire wolds way ) but camped .
Really boosted my esteem / confidence and looking forward to this too .
Im physically fit etc
Any do and do nots

I’ve done it a few times but not in recent years and I think it has changed a lot. Walk south to north. Best to book accommodation in advance as it is very popular. Don’t underestimate Loch Lomond when planning how far you are going to walk each day. It’s the hardest section.

it is no problem for a fit person.

Going south to north

The furthest walking in a day is 15 miles

I did most of it north to south without booked accomodation and with too much luggage (back in 2005). Don't do that 😁

It's not just about the distance, the clambering is exhausting (though there are plenty semi level paths). Consider portering.
