North Wales paddling for little ones

We are in Conwy for 2 weeks on holiday and I'm looking for some budget friendly things to do with my kids over the summer. They love the water so I'm looking for outdoor places to take them. Are there any small rivers in North Wales that my kids could paddle or play in please? I'm looking for places off the beaten track and not too many people there
TIA

Watkin path up snowdon has areas you can swim in. Google gladstone rock to see if it might be suitable. My boys were mountain goats at that stage. You’ll need to take plenty of picnic food and drink.

There’s a lovely beach at Dinas Dinlle which is great for young families. You look across the sea to Snowdonia on the other side.

Black Rock sands near Porthmadog is great for small children. It's a massive beach which you can take your car on to and set your deck chairs up around. Easy for picnics, getting changed etc. Lovely sand dunes to explore and perfect sandcastle beach.

Appreciate this is an old thread but we loved Talacre when ours were small. The sandy beach was covered in channels and dips which became small warm, shallow lakes. No waves and currents to worry about.
