Ideas for kids camping

We are hosting an evening of camping at our small holding with our friends and their children.
Kids are 7, and 10.
I'm looking for fun things to organise and for them to do and play with over the afternoon and evening please?
I have thought about a nature hunt but don't really know where to start?!
Any ideas welcome 🙏🏼 thanks

Find something that starts with every letter of the alphabet.
Acorn
Conker
Daisy
etc

Get some glow sticks.

Make a fire? Toast marshmallows?
Whittling (with supervision)
Bug hunt
Get some binoculars and look at the stars
Frisbee
French cricket

Make s'mores or just toast marshmallows? Our kids loved the novelty of a fire camping last year. You can buy the really large marshmallows in B&M and Asda.

Head lights/torches and play adult/child paired hide and seek.

Tug of war is fun

team building games are fun too, with mixed group of adults and kids.

lots of snacks

nerf gun fight? (Too much?)

whittling

if you’re having fire and making smores make sure this is really well monitored as I had a friend whose son got overexcited and burned his chin very badly with a very over toasted marshmallow and no adult to supervise.

If you're having a fire, you could get some colour changing powder for it.

A packet of mini sparklers is entertaining. Coloured torches to explore with. A load of bendy glow stick type things to decorate themselves with would also be fun.

Ball games/outdoor games
Definitely toasting marshmallows
Reading ghost stories

A stomp rocket (you can buy them from Amazon)- the kids had so much fun with ours in daylight.

Bananas wrapped in foil with chocolate inside them baked in the campfire were a huge hit- even more than the marshmallows.

Sparklers

Hot chocolate
