until now we've always gone for A to B and back to A again. Loaded all up in the car no driven off home.

DH is now suggesting we go A to B to C. Get the bus to A and train and bus from C back home. Is this at all practical? How do you carry your board? We've an inflatable, but then that means carrying it in the awful backpack it comes in, then transporting it on the front of the board, along with pump and having to carry everything back in a wet bag (extra weight, not great on the train etc). Apart from the fact that I don't think DD will be able to carry the bag more than a few metres...

What am I missing? Does everyone just carry their stuff and prolapse be damned? Are all paddle boarders super-fit weightlifters? Or am I missing a trick?
