Just looking for advice and experience on taking eczema creams on flights please.
I will be taking for my child's eczema condition a 1x500ml cream and 2x500ml wash liquids on the flight . I have the prescription slip and the products have the prescription label on them . I asked my dr for a letter but he refused saying the slips are valid enough. I rang the airline company and they said I'm allowed to take these 3 products separately from our other luggage in a rucksack/bag, providing i have the prescription slips. I explained to them dr said that a letter is not needed . His 200ml oral antihistamine medicine and tube steroids cream will go in my suitcase.
My question is has anyone done the same thing? Where the creams exceeded the 100ml limit but was allowed to put it in its own separate bag? Once prescription slip is provided ? Or did the airline refuse and if so what did you do instead ?
The airline said it be fine on the phone but at check in it may be different. Just worried about the whole thing. Silly I know but no experience of flying in this situation.
