Stopping grass burning with bbq?

Hi, DP and I are taking DSD camping this weekend and we really want to take a disposable barbecue. Barbecues are allowed as long as they don't burn the grass. How do we stop it burning it?

Bricks work well but stones or empty cans also work well.

4x empty food tins
2x bricks
You can buy special gold flat BBQ stands for this very purpose.

There may even be places set up to pop your BBQ on. You won't be the 1st

I had great success last weekend with a disposable bbq stand I bought from Amazon. It had a windshield which really helped. It was called BBQ Snug.

Good luck
