Hi, I am working with someone who has created the Treasure Map App (available through the Apple, Android or Windows' stores) - www.treasuremapapp.org or FB: www.facebook.com/www.treasuremapapp.org/ - it is a world-first in giving children a good incentive to get out into the great outdoors, with parents, friends or guardians placing 'treasure' on a walk ahead of where the children are going. It's a fun way for children to use smartphones and learn about maps and where they are walking. And there is something lovely waiting for them at the end of the walk (or in the middle of the walk...)
I thought I would let Mumsnet readers know about this as it is a great app to have on your phone for when you are out walking.
