School are organising a sponsored walk from Rhossili to Mumbles (22 miles). Has anyone done it before? How much training am I likely to need? I'm not a walker at all but I'm generally healthy etc.

I've never done the whole thing but I know the area well. It's a bit up and down in places, but it's not terribly arduous.

I know the area well too - I live here! I've just never done the walk. I've done Port Eynon to Rhossili a few times and I've heard that's the hardest bit so I'm hopeful that's correct. I guess I'm just nervous about doing so much all at once Grin

Aha!! I'd agree that that bit is the hardest. Also the bit around Pwlldu is fairly steep in places, but the path is good all the way so I reckon you'll be fine. I think it's the distance, not the location you're worried about (quite rightly). Just gradually increase daily mileage and you'll be fine. Get a fitbit (or a pedometer if you're stingy like me). Make it a challenge.
