47 litre cool box -tell me I need this!

My OH got me the coleman extreme 5 47litre cool box for xmas, as we need a cool box. I had previously said I want the tricolour 28 litre one (the colour is great and really - do I need that much stuff kept cool?)
Without sounding ungrateful - we camp for a few days at a time and go to festivals with the kitchen sink in tow and DD. I think this box is just too big.
Please sell it to me or help me to justify why I need to send it back!! Thanks!!!

This topic doesn't get much traffic; you may do better in the camping section of travel (I won't camp without an on site shop so no cool box here).

Do you camp from a car? Other than space considerations I'd say the bigger the coolbox the better. You can fill any empty space with beer!

That's a sizeable cool box! We have a 40 litre iceytek which we only use on longer trips because it's a bugger to fit everything in.

Space is key imo, if you can comfortably fit it in the car, keep it. Otherwise, send it back.

Yep, we camp from a car, the bonus of this is it has wheels, but it's just so bloody big!!!
