Baby bird in garden

We have a baby thrush in the back garden. Seems quite big. We have chased off next doors cat and kept in our cross dog. Haven't seen any parents feed it today. I know they say to leave it but it wonders around garden a bit or sleeps. Should we try and get some food to it? heard some noisy birds earlier and thought it was the parents but all is quiet now. Any ideas? Do we just leave it out all night?

All the advice is to leave fledglings alone, unless in immediate danger, and keep domestic animals away from them, if possible. You have done the right thing, it seems. Even though you haven't seen them , the parent birds are around. There isn't much you can do about neighborhood cats, though, it's a vulnerable time for young birds. Smile
