I can't get my two year old into any of the local Playball classes as they're totally full until the Autumn. Does anyone know of any good alternatives for the summer for a very active two year old who likes balls and running around? We've been doing Gymboree (soft play) but both she and I are getting bored of it

Does it have to be sporty? A friend takes his DD to rugby tots on a Saturday morning, good exercise for him and his DD loves running about.

If it's outdoors you want is there a park/woodland rangers group near you. In our area dozens have popped up recently.

Have you asked around your local leisure centres, at 2 they can often start preschool gymnastics, which is more about fun and learning about balance/co-ordination, my DD loves it and gets a good run around.

Hi KelleStar. Both great suggestions- thank you! I'm pretty interested in toddler football so rugby a great alternative.I'll also ask about gymnastics at the leisure centre.

Swimming? Not outdoors, but it wears them out!

I've just discovered geocaching with my nearly three year old dd and ten month old! He is none the wiser but dd loves finding "treasure"!

Dd also loved ballet and has been doing it for nearly a year now.

The other thing we do to get out is a scooter/balance bike. We got dd balance bike for £25 at Aldi GrinGrin
