Am holidaying in Cornwall and there are buzzards everywhere, nearly ran one over in a country lane as we turned a corner and it was sitting quite unconcerned in the road. When we beeped it flapped slowly into a tree and sat looking quite cross at the inconvenience.

All our other holiday spots so far have been roadkill :(

I saw a Dark Green Fritillary which made me very happy and some Gatekeepers and Meadow Browns but buzzards quite scarce around here owing to all the bloody gamekeepers. Foxes a rare sight too. (What it is to live in the country with the landed gentry on the doorstep.)
Love Cornwall- all the wild flowers. Saw seals there last week.

Sea eagles. Minke whales. Dolphins. Porpoises. Puffins. All in one day.

Comma caterpillar on the golden hop climbing over my pergola.

Shedloads of buzzards.

Several red kites all circling over something (dead sheep?) Looked like vultures over the savannah Grin
